Keely Dewhirst had amazing removal results in a short space of time. Here is her story.
I'm Keely, I’m 31 and I'm a buyer for TK Maxx. I live in Hamilton, just outside of London. I'm actually a northern girl at heart but moved out when graduated.
The tattoo I’m having removed was something that a group of us got when we were younger. It is thick and black and I wanted it to be as big and as bold as possible because I was 18! I liked it for a few years and then actually I just kind of outgrew the design. After a while, it stopped me from wearing things. I felt a lot more self-conscious in my job wearing certain clothes. And that's what made me realize maybe it was time to do something about it.
I was always nervous about tattoo removal. I have wanted to get this tattoo removed for the last five years. Actually a friend who is a tattoo artist recommended this new technology (LightSense®) so I thought I'd just come and give it a try. From the first day I came here, I felt comfortable. It can be a daunting experience but it's been amazing. Everyone's just so friendly and welcoming. So I don't dread coming back.

The process itself is quick. I almost didn't believe I'd be able to come back every two weeks because obviously traditional removal takes a lot longer than that, but it's true. I think the aftercare is great. All of the instructions that you get are really clear, they check in with you after too. I know if I have a problem, I can just call and get help over the phone, everyone puts you at ease. I've never felt nervous or scared.
I did find it painful, but I wouldn't say it's anything you can't handle. I find things like listening to music is great because you can zone out and the more sessions you have, the less it hurts. To anyone considering getting a tattoo, really think about what you are getting, but if you do make a mistake, NAAMA is the right place to come to!
Now that it’s almost gone, it's amazing. I just didn't believe it was going to happen. And now I don't have to think about what I'm going to wear or what people might think because it's gone. It's worth it, for sure.
